Can we achieve "Humanhood?"
Related to Leadership and Unity as described in previous blog posts, cooperation must be achieved. As stated by Dr. King in his plea to the Clergymen in the Letter from Birmingham Jail, “We must use time creatively, and forever realize that the time is always ripe to do right. Now is the time to make real the promise of democracy, and transform our pending national elegy into a creative psalm of brotherhood.” Any and all progress accomplished related to the unity, hope, common humanity, and transcending The Dream into The Human promise are rooted in "brotherhood" or rather, "humanhood." Collectively, we must all work together as unified communities, with leaders at the helm that respect, understand, and raise the seed of the idea of the human family. We must recognize that bridging the divide that exist between us is of utmost importance, and needs to be first priority. This cooperation is based on a selfless sense of being, existence and understanding that working and achieving together are the only options to foster positive and constructive change as to hope, unity and common humanity.
